Sivananda Centenary Boys' School was set up with the objective to inculcate in the student, the lofty ideals of the glorious Indian culture of which Swami Sivananda Maharaj was a great votary. The Indian culture envisages the four principal values of life, viz. Artha or the economic value, Kama or the vital value, Dharma or the ethical value and Moksha or the spiritual value. These four values, called the Purusartha Chatustaya cover all aspects of man’s life, all his needs and all his aspirations. The school is functioning to enable the students to grow with the above ideals. The idea is to make them complete human beings with total development of their personality and understanding the ultimate goal of human life. The main focus and thrust is for value based education. Thus this school is designed to imbibe the pattern and ideals of the Gurukul system, which is of maximum value to the students and is not available in the present-day educational system.
